Applicants who have completed both steps in the process by the priority deadlines receive best consideration. Applications and official transcripts received after the priority deadline will be considered on a space-available basis.

An admission decision will be posted in your SU Admissions Status portal and an official letter will be sent by U.S. mail shortly thereafter.

A complete line-by-line course evaluation will be available for you to review in your GullNet account within three weeks following your acceptance letter.

You must have a cumulative Grade Point Average of a 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale to be considered for admission; for students who have attended more than one institution, a cumulative average from all previous college work attempted at regionally accredited community colleges and four-year institutions is computed.

You must have earned a minimum of 12 transferable semester hours of college-level credit from regionally accredited community colleges or four-year colleges.

You must have left the last institution of attendance in good academic standing and with a clear disciplinary record.

To transfer to Salisbury University, applicants will need a minimum of 12 transferable college credits and a 2.0 cumulative college GPA. Applicants who have fewer than 30 transferable college credits must also submit an official final high school transcript and meet freshman admissions criteria. Applicants must also be in good academic and community standing.

Salisbury University’s Updated Transfer Policy Starting in Fall 2021

All students transferring to Salisbury University with an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) or an Associate of Science (A.S.) from a Maryland community college will fully satisfy SU’s General Education requirements.

• Students must submit an official transcript showing a posted A.A, A.A.T. or A.S. from an accredited Maryland community
• Students still must complete all requirements for their major
• This policy does not apply to the Associate of Applied Science

Scholarship Information for SU Transfers

• SU’s Maryland Community College Transfer Grant will be posted as part of your financial aid package when your associate degree (A.S., A.A.T., A.A.) is confirmed by SU from an official transcript.
• The grant awards $500 per year ($250 per semester) for up to four semesters as long as you continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress each semester. No application is required. This can be in addition to transfer merit scholarships.
• Second bachelor’s degree students are not eligible.
