Film & Panel Discussion: Brother Outsider
Guerrieri Center, Wicomico Room, 7 p.m.
This award-winning documentary tells the story of Bayard Rustin, a disciple of Gandhi, a mentor to Martin Luther King Jr. and the architect of the 1963 March on Washington, who dared to live as an openly gay man during the fiercely homophobic 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. A panel discussion with Vaughn White and professors Jim Burton, Dave Johnson, James King and Clara Small follows the screening. Co-sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Services and the Communication Arts, English and History departments. Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information visit
