Dave and Patsy Rommel have made a firm commitment to helping a new generation of entrepreneurs. Salisbury University President Janet Dudley-Eshbach announced a $5.5 million gift from the Rommels, benefiting SU’s new Center for Entrepreneurship at the Plaza Gallery Building in downtown Salisbury and supporting other future activities of the campus and the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business.
The Salisbury University Foundation, Inc. exists because of your ongoing generosity in support of the mission and students of Salisbury University. We take our role as stewards seriously and are grateful to help make your gifts as meaningful as possible. We are honored to be given the unique opportunity each day to lead the Foundation and the University, respectively, because there is nothing more rewarding than enabling students to succeed and accomplish their goals.
Our students are worth the time and energy. We meet many of them on campus and at events like our annual Scholarship Luncheon. They never fail to amaze us with their enthusiasm and willingness to work hard to achieve their personal goals and dreams. They believe in themselves and in the ability of Salisbury University to show them the path to success. The investment we make in them today will forever change the course of their lives.
The SU Foundation is an energized and motivated fundraising operation. The generous contributions of our donors empower Salisbury University to create remarkable opportunities for our hardworking and deserving students, faculty and staff. Our academic programs and facilities (including the brand-new Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons) are the envy of peer institutions in the region. Our supporters have helped to make all this possible and to provide the means for us to feel confident that we can deliver to students exactly what we promised them – an excellent education at A Maryland University of National Distinction.
In FY16, the Foundation recorded new outright and planned gifts totaling $7,745,829. The Foundation now holds 154 endowment funds valued at $60,350,400 and its total assets are $71,461,768. Support for Salisbury University and trust in the Salisbury University Foundation, Inc. have never been higher.
Thank you for recognizing the importance of investing in the futures of our students. We look forward to continuing to work with our fantastic Board of Directors, with our dedicated alumni and with each of you who have helped make Salisbury the campus it is today.
Thank you for your continued support.
