Do you want to improve your English in order to enroll at an American university? Salisbury University offers an intensive program of study designed to help international students with their English skills. Use the links on the left to find out more about our program. To apply, please complete and submit the form below, or download the paper ELI Financial Document in PDF format and return it to the Salisbury University Center for International Education. Once your application and financial document are submitted, we will also need your proof of high school diploma or university/college transcript.

Who Should Apply?

The English Language Institute is intended for non-native speakers who wish to improve their English fluency in order to apply to an American university. For admission in a degree program at Salisbury University, applicants whose native language is other than English must submit the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the written exam or 79 on the internet-based exam is required. A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 is required. Completition of the ELI is an alternative evidence of English language proficiency for admission to a degree program at Salisbury University.
