Chelsea Dingman Continues Writers on the Shore Series May 2

Chelsea DingmanSALISBURY, MD---Poet Chelsea Dingman continues this spring’s Writers on the Shore literary series at Salisbury University, reading from her works 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, in the Worcester Room of the Commons.

The event also celebrates the publication of this year’s Scarab, the SU English Department’s arts magazine, with student readings.

Dingman’s first book, Thaw, won the National Poetry Series. In the past year, she also has received the Southeast Review’s Gearhart Poetry Prize, Sycamore Review’s Wabash Prize and Waterstone Review’s Jane Kenyon Poetry Prize.

Her work has been published in journals including Ninth Letter, The Colorado Review, Mid-American Review, Cincinnati Review and Gulf Coast, among others.

A Canadian citizen, Dingman is a visiting instructor at the University of South Florida.
