Creative Writing Festival Features SU's Habermeyer September 6

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University inaugurates its fall Writers on the Shore series with a Creative Writing Festival 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, in the Worcester Room of the Commons.

The event includes a reading by Dr. Ryan Habermeyer of SU’s English Department. The evening also features students reading from their works in celebration of the publication of SU’s annual literary arts magazine, The Scarab.

Habermeyer is a two-time Pushcart Prize nominee. His collection of short stories, The Science of Lost Futures, scheduled for publication in 2018, won the BOA Short Fiction Prize. His works have appeared in Cream City Review, Carolina Quarterly, Los Angeles Review and Chattahoochee Review, among others.
