In the spirit of the season, a record number of Salisbury University faculty and staff joined President Janet Dudley-Eshbach to celebrate during the annual President’s Holiday Social in the Fireside Lounge of the Guerrieri University Center.
Thanking employees for all they do for the University, the President spotlighted nominees for this year’s University System of Maryland Board of Regents’ Faculty Awards for Excellence: Paula Morris of the Management and Marketing Department and Bill Burke of the Information and Decision Sciences Department. She also recognized Allison Foltz of Information Technology, who won a Regents’ Staff Award earlier this year, along with SU's two other nominees, Elizabeth Kressin of the Registrar’s Office and Russell “Charlie” Endicott of Career Services.
Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy refreshments and win gifts including SU blankets, Sammy the Sea Gull bobble heads, merchandise certificates and more. Michelle Classing of the Physical Plant won an iPad, raffled for those who donated to the Maryland Charity Campaign. SU’s commitment to community service also continued through the many employees who donated non-perishable goods for the Maryland Food Bank.
