The Salisbury University Green Fund is designed to improve the environmental sustainability at SU by providing funding for student and faculty driven projects in order to positively impact the social and economic atmosphere. The Green Fund keeps in mind the priorities of the current Climate Action Plan.
The Green Fund program was proposed by the Student Government Association and was officially passed by student votes. The program is funded by student fees that are exclusively used for Green Fund grants and related promotional costs. The Green Fund Board is comprised of five students, three staff and one faculty member who review and approve all expenditures. Funds that are not used on grants or promotions are then rolled over to the following year to be used on future projects.
