Important Safety Information

We are taking security seriously. Upon the recommendation of the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center (WY&CC) there will be security checks for all commencement participants and guests. Please review the WY&CC policies for a complete list of all prohibited items and size limitations on bags and such.

According to the WY&CC policies, guests entering the facility are subject to screening for prohibited items. Screenings can include visual inspection, bag search, screenings by a magnetometer (metal detector) and pat-down search. Guests who refuse searches will not be allowed into the WY&CC. To ensure the safety of all event attendees, guests who have left the building may not reenter.

For safety reasons, bags/purses/backpacks larger than 13” x 13” x 13” will not be permitted in the building. For family events, diaper bags are permitted. All bags will be searched. In addition, guests are not permitted to bring banners and signs larger than 15” x 15” to the WY&CC.
