Graduate Assistantships

Graduate assistantships enhance student educational objectives by providing practicum-based experiences, including the development and application of teaching, conducting research and other skills, while advancing the mission of the University. Graduate assistantships also provide financial support in the form of stipends and tuition assistance (paid at in-state rate) to aid full-time or half-time degree-seeking students enrolled in post-baccalaureate degree programs. Please visit our Graduate Assistantship page for more information.

Federal Loans

This is the most common loan for Master’s and Doctoral level education. There are three types of federal loans for graduate students: 1) low interest Federal Perkins Loans awarded through the financial aid office, 2) Direct PLUS Loans for the U.S. Department of Education, and 3) Direct (Unsubsidized) Loans from the U.S. Department of Education, the most common type of loan for graduate students. The federal student aid website can provide you with more details.

Direct Billing

We have a Memorandum of Understanding with the following Public School Systems: Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico and Worcester. Teachers employed within those counties should contact their HR Administrator to see if they are eligible for our direct billing plan.
