Salisbury University students on campus

Give & Go Donations

The Give & Go Program is a collaborative program between the Recycling Program and Housing & Residence Life. This program began in the traditional residence halls in the Spring 2022 semester as a pilot program during summer move out for on campus students. The Recycling staff saw this as a perfect way to reduce how much waste is being generated during student move out, while donating the gently used items to the local community. Over 7,000lbs of gently used items were collected in that first session. Due to the success and positive feedback, the program has expanded to now include Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer breaks. The 2022/2023 school year saved approximately 10,500lbs of gently used items were diverted from the local landfill and were recirculated back into the community. The program continues to expand, as the biannual Give&Go Donation Drive Thru events occur for off campus students and employees to participate and donate gently used items.
