Get Involved, Gain Experience!

As you start your third year, please take a moment to reflect on your past few years of college and where you are today!

While it is important that you remain focused on acquiring the key experiences and must have skills now your focus must also shift to include ways of getting out there and finding opportunities such as internships and part-time jobs that apply what you are learning in the classroom to the world of work if you are going to enter the workforce.

If you are going to professional or graduate school, then it is time to start thinking about selecting a school and program to begin preparing for the process.  We have developed a graduate resource page just for you.

Next Steps!

  1. Sign into your CareerGulls account to schedule appointments with a career counselor, connect with employers, and sign up to attend workshops and career events.
  2. Find and complete an internship or career-related part-time job.
  3. Set up a LinkedIn profile and start making meaningful professional connections.
  4. Find Career Services Hosted events like employer information sessions, and job/internship fairs to begin networking and learning about careers from employers themselves.
