Collections

The Nabb Research Center preserves and makes accessible historical sources from the Colonial era through the present day. The Center is a remarkable resource for understanding the people and places of the Eastern Shore and all of Delmarva.

In addition, the Center is home to the Salisbury University Archives and Special Collections. The University Archives preserves the collective memory of Salisbury University, from its founding in 1925 to the present; and Special Collections feature collections documenting national and international history.

In 2022, the Nabb Research Center became the official archival repository for the City of Salisbury, preserving and sharing the city’s earliest historical material dating back to 1867.

Archival collections will lead to finding aids where users can browse and search for manuscript, photograph, and other collections preserved at the center. Digital Collections will link you to digitized archival items including textual, photographic, and audio-visual materials. This catalog does not encompass all the materials housed at the center; we are continuing to add materials regularly.
