SU Hosts Screening of 'Machu Piccu' September 10
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University hosts a screening of the PBS Time Scanners documentary Machu Piccu 7 p.m. Monday, September 10, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.
The film opens SU’s annual Hispanic Heritage Month festival, continuing through Thursday, October 4.
In the documentary, structural engineer Steve Burrows leads his team of experts into the Peruvian jungle to scan the 500-year-old sacred Inca city in the Andes using 3-D laser technology. They attempt to determine how the Inca built the city atop a mountain ridge, how its terraces were constructed and how the city obtained its water supply.
