SU Hosts Multi-Holiday Dinner December 9
SALISBURY, MD---Celebrating Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa, Salisbury University holds its annual Multi-Holiday Dinner with music from Red Letter Day and the alternative klezmer band Alexandria Kleztet 4:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, December 9, in the Commons Bistro. Entertainment is 5-7 p.m.
Red Letter Day features Suzanna Mallow, SU event technical services assistant (guitar); Colleen Clark, assistant professor of music technology (guitar); and alumnae Andrea Jones (saxophone) and Becca Doughty (percussion).
The Alexandria Kleztet features Seth Kibel (clarinet, tenor saxophone, flute), Sean Lane (piano), Bob Abbott (double bass) and Nick Ruggieri (drums).
A video celebrating the meaning of Kwanzaa will be played during the evening.
The menu includes beef brisket, asparagus, cauliflower, potato latkes, apple sauce, roast turkey and stuffing, gravy, seasoned greens, glazed carrots, mashed potatoes, breaded catfish, corn, rice pilaf, pinto beans, broccoli, tofuturkey, vegan mashed potatoes, vegan gravy, vegan green beans, vegan sweet potato casserole (no marshmallows), cranberry sauce, holiday cookies, banana cream pie and chocolate cream pie.
Sponsored by University Dining Services and the Cultural Affairs Office, cost is $15, $8.75 for children 6 and under. The public is invited.
