SU Jazz Ensemble Continues Spring Music Festival
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Jazz Ensemble continues Salisbury University’s annual Spring Music Festival 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.
Directed by Jerry Tabor, the concert features small-group contemporary jazz compositions by local and regional artists including Tabor (“An Opening to the Sky,” “Throttle”); Annapolis-based national recording artist Amy Shook (“Wollie’s Favorite Dress”); Pat Shook, tenor saxophonist with the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors at Fort Meade (“Mr. Twister”); and SU music major McCabe Dignam (“Magmatic”).
Additional selections include Dexter Gordon’s “Cheese Cake,” Steve Davis’ “Smooth” and T.S. Monk’s “Doublemint.”
