Pryor Named 2019 SU Employee of the Year

Pryor and SU President Chuck WightSALISBURY, MD---Michelle Pryor, annual giving coordinator in the Alumni Relations Office, has been named Salisbury University’s 2019 Employee of the Year.

Announced during SU’s annual Employee Appreciation Day, as part of a luau-themed luncheon, the award included a $1,000 cash prize and SU parking pass.

Pryor, one of SU’s 12 SU Employees of the Month for the 2019 fiscal year, was nominated for her “excellent planning skills, hard work and passion for SU and philanthropy,” according to her nominator, Jayme Block, assistant vice president for development and alumni relations.

Specifically, Pryor was nominated for her work in organizing SU’s annual Giving Day campaign, culminating in gifts of more than $133,000 from over 1,500 donors.

“Michelle’s passion for SU and philanthropy has been infectious across campus,” said Block. “Not only did she work to bring in a large number of resources to SU, but she also helped to inspire a culture of philanthropy that will continue to serve this University well for years to come.”
