SU Ranked Among No. 1 in USM for Lowest Student Loan Debt

Conway HallSALISBURY, MD---When it comes to graduating with the lowest student loan debt, Salisbury University is still one of the best institutions in the nation according to recent rankings from LendEDU.com, a private student loan refinancing website.

In its fourth year ranking institutions by student loan debt, the site rated SU No. 1 in the University System of Maryland for lowest average debt per borrower and No. 2 in the state overall.

According to LendEDU, SU students in the Class of 2018, the most recent data available, approximately 57 percent graduated with student debt, averaging $26,521 per borrower. Nationally, that average is $29,674, according to the data.

The site is not the only one to recognize SU for exceptional value and education. Recently, The Princeton Review, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, and Money and Forbes magazines reaffirmed SU’s rankings among The Best 385 Colleges, the nation’s “Best Value Public Colleges,” “The Best Colleges for Your Money” and “America’s Top Colleges,” respectively.
