SU World Drum Experience Hosts Fall Concert November 19
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University World Drum Experience performs its annual fall concert 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 19, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.
The ensemble features several West African rhythms, including a dedication to a train conductor “Akiwowo.” Its members also perform the Afro-Cuban rhythm “Mozambique” on conga drums.
In addition, the concert memorializes late ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill from ZZ Top and Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts. Other selections include songs from The Allman Brothers, Steppenwolf and Bob Marley.
Sponsored by the Music, Theatre and Dance Department, admission is free and the public is invited. Tickets are available through SU’s performing arts webpage at www.salisbury.edu/performingarts.
All attendees at Salisbury University indoor events are required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave an event for non-compliance.
