Important Information Regarding SU COVID-19 Testing

Members of the SU Community,

This week, Salisbury University transitioned to more frequent COVID-19 testing for students and employees in connection with increased coronavirus surveillance efforts required by the University System of Maryland.

With most students coming to campus now being tested weekly and many employees being tested twice each month, it is more important than ever that you show up for your test on time. This increased testing frequency, with up to 1,000 tests scheduled per day, does not allow the University to be lenient to latecomers or those who miss their regularly scheduled tests. Those who arrive more than 15 minutes late cannot be tested.

Students and employees are allowed only ONE makeup test this semester, and that test must be taken on a specific day depending on the date of the originally scheduled test. A special, one-time link will be sent to those eligible to schedule a makeup test via their SU email. For more information on makeup dates, please visit the SU COVID-19 Testing Information webpage.

We realize it may take time getting used to this new testing schedule. However, it is important that students and employees adhere to their regular testing times as we continue to #ProtectTheFlock.

As always, please visit the SU COVID-19 webpage for the most up-to-date information (including test scheduling), and send any questions to StayInformed@salisbury.edu.
