Important COVID-19 Information for SU Employees
Thursday September 23, 2021
Dear SU Faculty and Staff,
As Salisbury University continues its COVID-19 precautions, please note the following:
- The deadline for employees to receive their second COVID-19 vaccination shot is Wednesday, September 29 (unless a later date was prescribed at the time their first shot was given).
- Second shots are required for employees who initially received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. Those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are considered fully vaccinated 14 days from their shot, as this is a single-dose vaccine.
- Those who do not have their second shot by September 29 will lose access to campus buildings, classrooms and amenities.
- Those who receive their second shot on September 29 will need to continue testing twice weekly at least until Thursday, October 14, when they will be considered fully vaccinated.
- Free take-home COVID-19 test kits remain available for all fully vaccinated, asymptomatic SU employees to pick up 8 a.m.-midnight Monday-Friday at the Guerrieri Student Union Information Desk.
- Employees must show their GullCards.
- Employees do not need to return the tests or report the results unless receiving a positive result.
- An instructional self-testing video is available at www.youtube.com/watch?v=baQQfoX-JXo.
- Any employee who tests positive for COVID-19 via a take-home or non-SU-administered test should notify Campus Health at CampusHealth@salisbury.edu.
Please stay safe, and thank you for continuing to do your part to #ProtectTheFlock.
