Salisbury University Closed Monday, January 6
By SU Public Relations
Due to expected severe weather impacting the area, Salisbury University will be closed on Monday, January 6, observing “Plan B” (see SU’s inclement weather plan here) with University offices closed, in-person classes being canceled and virtual classes able to continue at the instructor’s discretion.
Supervisors will contact essential employees with information about whether they should report to work. All other employees should monitor critical student and operational services. Continue to monitor SU email & other communication outlets for direction. Human resources will send separate communication, once campus re-opens, on how timesheets should be completed.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a “Winter Storm Warning” for Wicomico County (read here). Heavy mixed precipitation is expected, with total snow accumulation between 5 and 9 inches, possibly including a light glaze of ice.
Please continue to monitor the SU website for any updates about further disruptions in University operations, should they occur.
