Dance Company Receives $2,000 Grant From SWAC

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Dance Company recently received a $2,000 operating grant, the maximum amount available, from the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council (SWAC).

According to the SWAC Grants Committee, the Dance Company is “consistently good and shows a great deal of initiative in supporting itself and reaching out to the broader community. The dancers are a quality group that gets better each year and the organization runs like a well-oiled machine.”

Some 21 members were selected for the fall Dance Company in entrance auditions judged by dance faculty Judy Binkowski and Jennifer Livingston. The Company is rehearsing for its 14th annual Fall Dance Showcase, scheduled Thursday-Saturday, November 20-22. Dr. Victoria V. Hutchinson directs the Company.
