Faculty Art Exhibit Opens Tuesday, September 2

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Art Department faculty showcase their recent work in the exhibit “From the Artist Hand” Tuesday, September 2-Sunday, September 28 at the University Gallery at Fulton Hall. An opening reception is held 5-8 p.m. Thursday, September 4.

The exhibit features a mix of paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photography, mixed media and digital prints. Special emphasis is given to modernist trends and the integration of contemporary ideas with tradition and non-traditional media. Art Department Chair Jim Hill curates the show.

Along with Hill, faculty exhibiting their works in the show include Jeanne Anderton, Gary Brotman, Ed Brown, Marie Cavallaro, Paul Flexner, Carl Goldhagen, Susan Holt, Jinchul Kim, Michelle Neal-Robbins, Pam Olszewski, Dean Peterson, Brooke Rogers, Nicole Schneider, Rich Schneider and Clytie Taylor.

The University Gallery at Fulton Hall is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and from noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Sponsored by the SU Art Department and Office of Cultural Affairs and Museum Programs, the exhibit and opening reception are free and the public is cordially invited.
