Linda Cockey piano recital slated for October 20

SALISBURY, MD -----Linda Cockey, professor of music at Salisbury University, performs a piano recital on Sunday, October 20 at 4 p.m. in the Wicomico Room, Guerrieri University Center.

Cockey, who coordinates the keyboard division at SU, holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Catholic University of America. She has studied with William Fairlamb, Susan Starr, Bela Nagy, Barbara English Maris and Thomas Mastroianni. Locally, she has performed concertos with the Salisbury Symphony under the baton of Thomas Elliot, and, in solo and duo-piano recitals, she has performed at Longwood Gardens and other concert venues in the mid-Atlantic.

The recital includes works by Joahann Christian Bach, Beethovan, Chopin, Brahms, Schumann and Bartok.
