Nabb Research Center Hosts Gourmet Dinner Series
SALISBURY, MD---The Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. In recognition and support, a series of intimate, gourmet dinners are planned.
Held in private homes, the evenings feature themed cuisines traditionally not available on the Delmarva Peninsula. Organizers hope the gatherings will enable those with a love of Delmarva history and culture to experience a night of excellent food and libation. Through European-style seating, guests may easily interact with others from interesting professional backgrounds.
The first dinner features four-courses of gourmet Szechwan and Hunan cuisine in celebration of the Chinese New Year (the Year of the Pig). It will be paired with various wines and features mainly pork dishes using fresh and authentic Chinese ingredients. Limited to seven people, the dinner is 6 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at a private residence on South Camden Avenue. Reservations are required by Sunday, April 1, and seats are available on a first come, first served basis. Cost is $75 per person, with $40 of the price counted as a charitable deduction.
Other dinners in the series will feature Brazilian, Peruvian, Spanish, Moroccan and new American waterman cuisines. To help celebrate the Nabb Center’s anniversary by reserving a place at the table or to be notified of future dinners in the series, please call 410-543-6312 or email rcdhac@salisbury.edu.
