SU Concert Band Performs Dec. 5
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Concert Band plays holiday favorites during SU’s annual winter music festival, “Four for the Season,” 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.
Conducted by Lee Knier, the 56-member band celebrates with selections ranging from “Americans, We March” by Henry Fillmore to a medley of Christmas classics including “The Christmas Song” and Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.”
“This year’s concert has a lot of variety and we think it will be an audience-pleasing event with selections listeners will be glad to hear,” Knier said. Other works include the traditional standard “Greensleeves,” as well as the Appalachian carol “Jesus, Jesus Rest Your Head” and the French Christmas song “Patapan.”
