SU German Club Holds 43rd Annual Oktoberfest
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University German Club brings cultural food, games and music to campus for its 43rd annual Oktoberfest celebration.
From 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, on Fulton Hall Lawn (rain location: Guerrieri University Center, Wicomico Room), the festival features student and community organizations, as well as the Philadelphia German Brass Band.
Platters available for purchase during the event include bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad, soft pretzels, apple strudel and a beverage.
Other features include games, local vendors, performances by Medieval knight re-enactors, a German costume contest and a sale of T-shirts commemorating the event. Admission is free and the public is invited.
That evening, the Philadelphia German Brass Band again performs on campus during University Dining Services’ annual Oktoberfest dinner, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Commons.
Part of SU’s International Dinner Series, cost is $12, $7.28 for children under 5. Reservations are not required.
