SU German Club Holds 45th Annual Oktoberfest
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University German Club brings cultural food, games and music to campus during its 45th annual Oktoberfest celebration 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, on the Fulton Hall Lawn (rain location: Guerrieri Student Union, Fireside Lounge).
The festival features student and community organizations. Platters available for purchase during the event include bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad, soft pretzels, apple strudel and a beverage.
Other features include games, prizes, local vendors, a beer garden, a German costume contest and a sale of T-shirts commemorating the event. Admission is free and the public is invited.
Related activities include a free tuba clinic by Philadelphia Orchestra principal tubist Carol Jantsch at 5 p.m. in Fulton Hall Room 112, sponsored by the Music, Theatre and Dance Department; and University Dining Services’ annual Oktoberfest Dinner from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Bistro of the Commons.
The Bay Brass, sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Office, performs from 5-7 p.m. during the dinner. Cost is $13.50 per person, $8.15 for children 5 and under. Reservations are not required.
