SU Social Work Students Commemorate Child Abuse Prevention Month Apr. 30
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Master of Social Work students join the Worcester County Child Advocacy CRICKET Center in commemorating Child Abuse Prevention Month with a noon program Saturday, April 30, in Red Square.
Sue Gray, LCSW-C delivers the presentation “Make the Call: Child Abuse Prevention.” She discusses signs of abuse and what people should do if they suspect child abuse.
Following her talk, all in attendance will be asked to “freeze” for three minutes in reflection of children throughout Maryland affected by abuse or neglect.
The event is held in collaboration with the Maryland Pinwheels for Prevention campaign to help raise awareness of child abuse. Admission is free and the public is invited.
