SU Welcomes Lt. Governor for Veterans Health Meeting
Salisbury, MD---Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown will chair the fifth meeting of the Maryland Veterans Behavioral Health Advisory Board at Salisbury University on Tuesday, July 14. The meeting is 1 p.m. in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center.
The Advisory Board was created by legislation in 2007 and is dedicated to improving and expanding treatment options for veterans, especially those in rural areas. The Advisory Board has met across the state and engaged local leaders, veterans and public health professionals to discuss challenges and needs of each region’s veteran population.
An aviation officer in the U.S. Army from 1984-89, Brown is a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and served in Iraq with 353rd Civil Affairs Command from 2004-05.
On Wednesday, Brown will address members of the Maryland Department of the American Legion at their annual statewide convention in Ocean City.
