Salisbury Youth Orchestra Presents Annual Spring Concert Monday, May 16
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury Youth Orchestra (SYO) presents its annual spring concert 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 16, in Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall Auditorium.
Conducted by Dr. Jeffrey Schoyen, the orchestra includes student musicians ranging from elementary school to high school seniors throughout the Eastern Shore. The concert also features the orchestra’s percussion, flute and horn ensembles.
Selections include works by Saint-Saens, Jury, Alshin and Weinberger, many including dances. Also featured is the original work “Winter Ends” by SYO composer Lila Quillin.
