First-Time Application

Apply using the Salisbury University Application.
Application fee: USD 50.

If you have trouble accessing or completing the application, please contact the Office of Admissions.

Original or attested copies of all transcripts, diplomas, mark sheets and certificates from all secondary and post-secondary schools attended are required. Documents should be uploaded to the Common Application or CollegeNet Application.

All credentials must be official, original documents or notarized attested copies of the original. Copies, faxes and scanned documents will not be accepted. If documents cannot be uploaded to the application, documents must be mailed in a sealed envelope directly from a secondary school, examination board or university (see mailing address below) or emailed to admissions@salisbury.edu.

Salisbury requires all international applicants from a non-English speaking country to submit proof of English proficiency.

English proficiency can be demonstrated by submitting/completing ONE of the following official scores/programs:

1. Completion of Salisbury University’s English Language Institute or another approved English Language partner of Salisbury University.
2. TOEFL (Salisbury Code: 5403)
   • 79 iBT or higher
   • 550 pBT or higher
3. IELTS
   • 6.5 or higher overall band score (5.5 minimum in each band). Have scores sent to "Salisbury University, Office of Admissions.
4. SAT (Salisbury Code: 5403)
   
   • SAT Critical Reading (old) – 420
5. ACT (Salisbury Code: 1716)
   • English Section Only - 21
6. British Ordinary Level English Language Exam (GCE/GCSE/IGCSE)
   • Grade of A, B or C in First-Language English. Submit original or certified true copy of certificate
7. EIKEN
   • pre - 1 level

Conditional Admission: Prospective undergraduate students who meet all admission requirements except for English proficiency may be considered for conditional admission to SU.

Score results must be from a test taken within the past three years. Official test scores must be sent directly from the testing organization to Salisbury. A student's complete application is holistically reviewed before a decision is made and meeting the minimum English proficiency score does not guarantee admission.

Though not required, international students are encouraged to provide SAT or ACT scores to Salisbury for admission and scholarship consideration.

A letter of recommendation and a personal statement are required.
