Victoria Hutchinson Appointed to American College Dance Festival Association's Mide-Atlantic Region Board of Directors
SALISBURY, MD--Dr. Victoria Hutchinson, assistant professor of physical education at Salisbury State University, recently received prestigious recognition by being appointed to the American College Dance Festival Associations Mid-Atlantic region board of directors for a three-year term.
The ACDFA's primary objective is promoting the talent and creativity found in the nations college and university dance departments. It sponsors regional and national dance festivals--a venue for students and educators to engage in workshops and classes taught by instructors from around the country. Participants have an opportunity to have their work evaluated by nationally recognized dance professionals in a constructive forum.
The festivals are a valuable way for college and university dance programs to connect with the national scene.
Hutchinson has been active in the Maryland State Arts Council Dance Advisory and Regional Touring Advisory panels, a member of the board of directors for the Maryland Council for Dance, the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council and the Eastern Shore Ballet Theatre since the early 90s.
