Diriker and Baker Receive Governor Citation Awards for Support of Regional Transportation Planning

SALISBURY, MD--Dr. Memo Diriker and Ruth Baker of Salisbury State University were each recently awarded Governor's Citation awards for their work with Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties in support of regional transportation planning.

Diriker is associate professor of management and marketing at the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business and director of the Project Management Group, a community outreach and consulting entity. Baker is associate director of the Project Management Group.

Since the spring Diriker and Baker have been facilitating the efforts of a tri-county coalition that is focused on improving transportation options in the region, particularly for those without access to a car.
