Center for Technology in Education Offering Technology Workshops August 9-12

SALISBURY, MD--The Center for Technology in Education at Salisbury State University is again offering a Summer Technology Academy focusing on utilizing technology to improve student outcomes. This year’s Academy is August 9-12, on the SSU campus.

The 18 workshops will address a variety of topics from an introduction to the computer to utilizing the Internet and PowerPoint to design student technology projects. While public educators from Maryland will be awarded one in-service credit for every two workshops attended for a maximum of two in-service credits, the Academy is open to preservice teachers as well as interested members of the public. The cost to attend is $25 for each full-day workshop.

The Center for Technology in Education at SSU was founded in 1993 in a collaborative effort between the Greater Salisbury Committee and the Eastern Shore educational community. Among its goals is introducing educators to state-of-the-art technology for their classrooms.
