SU Foundation Formalizing Agreement for Temple Hill-Court Plaza Redevelopment

SU map with Temple Hill-Court PlazaSALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Foundation, Inc. is in the final stages of formalizing an agreement for the redevelopment of its Temple Hill-Court Plaza properties, officials said today. The site will be mixed use, the majority for student housing.

“We think students and the local community will benefit,” said Jason Curtin, executive director of the SU Foundation.

The Foundation has been working with the consulting firm Margrave Strategies of Columbia, MD, which provides planning and economic development services to businesses and institutions including the University of Maryland, College Park, and Towson University.

The property, purchased last year for $6 million, is located one block from the SU campus.  The 8.6-acre site is nearly 375,000 square feet, with a corner lot, over 500 linear feet of frontage along Route 13, and easy access via multiple roads.

One of the development goals is a signature building designed to mark the arrival into the City and the University from the south.

Preliminary planning has construction starting in 2020 with student housing expected to open in time for the fall 2022 academic year.
