'Cross Currents' Exhibit Showcases Contemporary Delmarva Artists Through August 17
SALISBURY, MD---Artists living and working on the Delmarva Peninsula share their work during the exhibit “Cross Currents: Contemporary Art on the Eastern Shore” through Friday, August 17, at Salisbury University Art Galleries Downtown.
The exhibition presents an array of practices and perspectives that reflect on what it means to be alive and making work right now. It includes two-dimensional representational and abstract painting and collage, as well as photography, silkscreen, ceramics, sculpture and installation.
Artists include Leslie Belloso, Mehves Lelic, Erick Sahler and David Smith of Salisbury; Alison Cooley of Easton, MD; Christopher Harrington of Princess Anne, MD; Patrick Henry and Deborah Rolig of Berlin, MD; Bruce Ricci of Onancock, VA; Barbara Warden of Lewes, DE; and Julie Wills of Chestertown, MD.
Gallery hours are noon-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. Sponsored by SU Art Galleries, admission is free and the public is invited.
