SU Graduate Earns Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship
SALISBURY, MD---Recent Salisbury University graduate Nicole Lindner of Pitman, NJ, plans to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy at Drexel University (PA) thanks, in part, to a $5,000 fellowship from the Phi Kappa Phi national honor society.
Linder, who earned her B.S. in exercise science from SU, was one of 57 fellowship recipients nationwide. Selection is based on graduate potential, academic achievement, community service and leadership experience, among other criteria.
“As an exercise science major, Nicole was exposed to an extensively varied academic and clinical atmosphere,” said Dr. Brent Fedorko, director of SU’s Exercise Science Program. “She is an extremely motivated individual who has a solid foundation in her character that allows her to be self-confident in her actions and a model for her peers and others to follow.
“Nicole is always well prepared and ready to accept the challenges placed upon her. She possesses all of the essential qualities necessary to become a successful physical therapist.”
