Salisbury Youth Orchestra Performs Annual Spring Concert
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury Youth Orchestra (SYO) presents its annual spring concert 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall Auditorium.
The SYO High School Orchestra, directed by Dr. Jeffrey Schoyen, performs Mendelssohn’s “War March of the Priests,” Alshin’s “South American Holiday” and highlights from the soundtrack of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, among others.
The SYO Middle School Orchestra, directed by Martha Mancuso, Salisbury Symphony Orchestra (SSO) principal cellist, performs Spata’s “Las Mariposas Exoticas” and Stamitz’ “Symphony No. 8” (third movement), as well as seven works by Brahms.
