Nabb Center Hosts 'Friends and Rivals: Baseball on Delmarva' Exhibit Through July 15

Image of signed baseballSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture hosts the exhibit “Friends and Rivals: Baseball on Delmarva” January 27-July 15.
    
The exhibit, displayed in the center’s G. Ray Thompson Gallery in the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons, examines the history and heritage of baseball on the Delmarva Peninsula and the role it played in the local communities that embraced the national pastime.

    An opening reception is 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, in the Nabb Research Center Lobby.

    Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Saturday hours are during the spring semester.

    “Friends and Rivals” is part of a larger initiative supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities Common Heritage grant to create a digital archive of Eastern Shore baseball and provide a series of programs exploring the importance of baseball in Delmarva communities.
