SU Administrators, Staff Help Students Celebrate Thanksgiving
SALISBURY, MD---Administrators and staff from Salisbury University’s Student Affairs Office helped students remaining on campus this Thanksgiving enjoy the holiday by preparing a turkey dinner.
For the first time, the University provided students with the option of remaining in campus housing during the holiday break. More than a dozen elected to stay at SU, largely due to concerns about traveling or being around family with health concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic. A small handful of students in isolation or quarantine on campus due to positive COVID-19 tests or potential exposure to the virus also enjoyed the meal.
They will rejoin their classmates on Monday, November 30, when SU is slated to become the only University System of Maryland campus to continue holding face-to-face and hybrid (part face-to-face and part virtual) classes after Thanksgiving. The semester ends Friday, December 18.
