SU Art Galleries Presents 'Centroid Towns' January 19-April 2
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Art Galleries hosts the anthology documentary project Centroid Towns by Nate Larson January 19-April 2 at SU Art Galleries (SUAG) Downtown and online.
A virtual artist talk with Larson is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, February 4.
Centroid Towns uses oral history interviews and local archive research to study the 25 cities that have been the mean center of population of the United States. This symbolic center is calculated every 10 years to accompany the U.S. Census, first located in 1790 near Chestertown, MD, and moving steadily westward, currently residing near Plato, MO.
