SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE) hosts the virtual lecture “The Rhetoric of Presidential Inaugural Addresses: A Comparison of the Inauguration Speeches through History” 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 26.

Join Dr. Paul Scovell of the Communication Department for an analysis of the important, memorable and infamous inaugural speeches throughout American history. Examine speeches from George Washington through Joseph R. Biden’s inauguration on January 20, 2021, to understand the catch phrases and promises made by newly elected presidents.
