SU Hosts Annual Soul Food Dinner February 7
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University hosts its annual soul food dinner 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, February 7, in the Commons Bistro, with entertainment from the Bernard Sweetney Jazz Quartet from 5-7 p.m.
Sweetney, a premier jazz drummer since the 1960s, has performed with Roberta Flack, Shirley Horn and others.
The menu includes deep fried catfish, BBQ ribs, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, black eyed peas, pig’s feet, cornbread, chitterlings, fried chicken, collard greens, sweet potato biscuits, sweet potato pie, apple pie and banana pudding.
Sponsored by University Dining Services and the Multicultural Student Services, cost is $15, $8.75 for children 6 and under. The public is invited. The dinner is part of SU’s annual African American History Month celebration.
Those coming from off campus are required to display a visitor parking pass, which may be requested at the parking services website.
