Nine SU ROTC Cadets Commissioned

SALISBURY, MD---Nine cadets from Salisbury University’s Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program recently were commissioned as second lieutenants upon graduation.

Aubrey Anderson of Abingdon, MD, earned her B.A. in environmental studies. She is branched Army Signal Corps. She will be assigned to Ft. Hood, TX. She was pinned by her father, MSG (Ret.) Rodney Anderson, and her mother SFC (Army Vet.) Helen Anderson. Her headgear was pinned by her brother, Capt. Rodney Anderson Jr. Anderson received her first salute from her brother, Sgt. Christopher Norwood.

Christopher Barone of Silver Spring, MD, earned his B.A. in history. He is branched Armor Division. He will be assigned to the Basic Officer Leadership Course at Ft. Benning, GA. He was pinned by his parents, Anna and Joseph Barone. He received his first salute from his friend, U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Connor Ruppert.

Sabrina Barry of East Granby, CT, earned her B.A. in elementary education. She is branched in Transportation Corps. She was pinned by her sister, Cadet Ashley Barry. She received her first salute from her friend, 1st Sgt. (Ret.) Wyatt Elwood.
    
Jonathan Clark of Emmitsburg, MD, earned his B.A. in environmental studies. He is branched Air Defense Artillery. He will be assigned to Ft. Sill, OK. He was pinned by his parents, Lynn and Bernard Clark. He received his first salute from a friend of the family, former U.S. marine Richard Schading.

Parker DeWitt of Hebron, MD, earned his B.A. in outdoor education leadership. He is branched Armor Division. He will be assigned to the Basic Officer Leadership Course at Ft. Benning, GA. He was pinned by his parents, Drs. Doug and Lori DeWitt. He received his first salute from SFC Timothy Lucas.

Cody Herr of Höeheinöd, Germany, earned his B.S. in exercise science. He is branched Quartermaster Corps. He will be assigned to Schefield Barracks, HI. He was pinned by his wife, Sierra Herr; their daughter, Elliott; and his father, Chad Herr. He received his first salute from Sierra Herr.

Chase Kipke of Glen Burnie, MD, earned his B.A. in interdisciplinary studies. He is branched Transportation Corps. He was pinned by his mother and father, Lori and Ken Kipke. He received his first salute from SFC Timothy Lucas.

Thomas Marlin of Mechanicsburg, PA, earned his B.A. in interdisciplinary studies. He is branched Ordnance Corps. He was pinned by his parents, Richard and Karin Marlin. He received his first salute from SPC Hunter Faith.

Jacob Mondoro of Edgewater, MD, earned his B.A. (2016) and M.A. (2020) in conflict analysis and dispute resolution. He is branched Military Intelligence. He was pinned by his mother and sister, Lisa and Jenna Mondoro, and his girlfriend, Olivia Edsall. He received his first salute from SFC Timothy Lucas.
