SU Indian and American Dialogue Series Continues

microphoneSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Indian and American Dialogue on Liberal Arts Series continues with three events 9-10 a.m. select Thursdays through the fall semester.

The series is a virtual global learning initiative built in collaboration between SU’s Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts and the Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU).

Upcoming segments include:

  • September 30 – “The importance of Liberal Studies and Education” with Dr. Maarten Pereboom, dean of the Fulton School.
  • October 28 – “Climate Change and Liberal Arts” with Dr. Karl Maier, professor of psychology and member of the Fulton Sustainability Committee.
  • December 2 – “Liberal Arts Professional Development” with Drs. Chrys Egan, associate dean of the Fulton School, and Brian Stiegler, associate provost for international education.

The first initiative in the series was a joint seminar held during January 2021, “Caste in India and the U.S.,” exploring the themes of race and caste in the Indian and American contexts. That first seminar led to further activities designed to bring together students, faculty, and staff from both institutions.

The seminars are free and the public is invited. Advance registration is requested at https://salisbury.universitytickets.com/.
