Important Update for Graduate Students from Salisbury University
Dear SU Graduate Students,
Greetings from Salisbury University! For those of you taking classes and/or conducting research this summer, we hope your efforts are going well. We look forward to welcoming you back this fall and wanted to send you a quick note to let you know what you can expect in the upcoming academic year.
One of the greatest predictors of student success is engagement - that’s why the focus at SU is on our community of engaged learning. But we recognize that for many of us, there may be a bit of a transition to engaging with others and returning to ‘normal’ activities. Please know that our faculty and staff are committed to your success. They are here for you.
While some graduate courses will be delivered online or in a hybrid format, many sections will be face-to-face and at pre-pandemic classroom capacities. We are excited for the full return of students in classrooms, laboratories, simulation facilities, competitions, studios, and performance venues. We expect students to be able to participate in in-person internships, clinicals, field experiences, research, conference presentations, and exhibitions. Unless there is a significant increase in COVID in our area, course modalities are not expected to change. If you haven’t yet enrolled in fall courses, please do so as soon as possible. Do not hesitate to contact the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) or your Graduate Program Director with questions you may have about your schedule or services and requirements of SU programs offered at satellite sites and online.
Campus offices, services and engagement opportunities will be fully open and available to you with many services in-person and online. For example, if you need assistance with time management, writing, stress, or other challenges that may impact your studies, please don’t hesitate to make use of the many resources available to assist you such as: the Center for Student Achievement, SU Libraries, the University Writing Center, the Center for International Education, SU’s Counseling Center, the Disability Resources Center, and/or the Office of Diversity & Inclusion. The SU Cares website provides a great overview of support services at SU. If you haven’t downloaded the Navigate app, please do. Navigate offers many features that support your success at SU.
The most up-to-date information about our public health efforts and requirements is available on the SU COVID-19 website.
We are proud of all of the efforts of SU students, faculty and staff and thank you for doing your part to keep us safely moving forward. We look forward to seeing you soon!
