Lehrer, Cavallo Host a Week of Dance Events at SU

SALISBURY, MD---Artistic director Jon Lehrer and dancer Cristina Cavallo present a week of dance activities during their residency at Salisbury University Monday-Friday, February 14-19, in Blackwell Hall Room 202.

Events include:

Monday, February 14, 3:30-5 p.m. - Ballroom Dance Class: In honor of Valentine’s Day, bring a partner and learn to ballroom dance in a safe, fun and welcoming environment.
Friday, February 18, 5-5:30 p.m. – Preview and Q&A Session: Enjoy a preview of a new work in progress, which will be premiered during the SU Dance Company’s annual spring concert Friday-Sunday, April 8-10, in Holloway Hall Auditorium. After the preview, take part in a question-and-answer session with Lehrer and the dancers.
Saturday, February 19, 10-11:30 a.m. – Masterclass for High School Dancers: Lehrer hosts a masterclass for local high school dancers.

Lehrer started the Jon Lehrer Dance Company in Buffalo in 2007 and has since operated out of New York City. The company showcases Lehrer's unique choreography and embodies his definitive style.

Sponsored by the SU Dance Company and Music, Theatre and Dance Department, admission is free and the public is invited.

In-person attendees are required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave any SU event for non-compliance.

All attendees must complete an online COVID-19 screening on the day of their visit, prior to coming to the SU campus.
