SU Art Galleries Hosts Artist Talk by Victoria Ahmadizadeh Melendez
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Art Galleries (SUAG) hosts a visiting artist talk with Victoria Ahmadizadeh Melendez 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 29, in Conway Hall Room 156.
Based in Philadelphia, Melendez combines poetry and prose with images, glass objects and neon signages to create layered experiences for the viewer.
Her work has been shown internationally at several venues, most notably in Young Glass, a once-per-decade exhibition featuring rising glass artists under 35. Domestically, she has exhibited at Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia, Heller Gallery in New York, Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh, and Bellevue Arts Museum in Washington.
Admission is free and the public is invited. Those planning to park on campus must register in advance for a free parking pass.
